Homemaker Program
Homemakers perform basic housekeeping tasks for seniors
and individuals with disabilities, such as: cleaning, laundry,
grocery shopping and more. Professional staff also assesses
an individual's overall adjustment to daily life. Fees are
based on a sliding scale/donation.
Community Outreach Program
Community Outreach Program provides advocacy and support services for seniors with a bilingual/bicultural outreach manager. FSA staff links isolated seniors with available community resources and services. Services are offered at no cost.
S.A.I.L. (Services Aimed at
Independent Living)
S.A.I.L. provides home maintenance and repairs services for
those unable to afford these services from proprietary businesses.
Skilled craftsmen install grab bars, custom-made wheelchair ramps,
deadbolt locks, smoke alarms, and provide moving services, light
plumbing or electrical repairs, yard maintenance and other chores
related to home safety and maintenance. Fees are based on a sliding
fee scale/donation.
Safe
Points
Funded with a grant through the United Way Linkages Program,
Safe Points is a service delivery system, bringing several
agencies together under one umbrella to effectively serve
senior clients rather than the client having to access multiple
agencies for each service. In addition, by providing thorough
assessments, counseling and comprehensive case management
for each client and continued follow up, we are ensuring that
each senior's needs are being met and not falling through
the cracks. Collaborative partners of the Safe Points
Program include FSA, Gatekeeper Program, The Parish Nursing
Program and the City of Santa Barbara Housing Authority.
