Development Department
Help us reach out to and thank the generous donors who help to make Family Service Agency's programs a reality!  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who would like to help behind the scenes at a non-profit and has a few hours a week (or every other week!) to dedicate to the Agency.  We are willing to train computer literate volunteers.

S.A.I.L. Program
This is an opportunity to help seniors and disabled adults, while learning some handyman skills. We build ramps, install grab bars and handrails as well as perform minor home repairs, wash windows, replace light bulbs, or help with yard work. The program runs Tuesday through Thursday 9:00-4:00. We welcome volunteers for one, two or all three days of the week.

Senior Program
Help a senior with a project, help them organize and file papers, pay some bills, clean out a closet, pick up some groceries, make a friendly visit, help link them to community services. These are some of the rewarding opportunities which you can be a part of. We welcome volunteers that would like to make a senior's life a little brighter and easier.

211-Helpline
Train to staff the County's only 24-hour Information & Referral and Crisis-Intervention Hotline - specializing in suicide prevention. Extensive training is provided in Active Listening / Empathic Counseling skills and Information and Referral. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in counseling-related careers or simply seeking to gain counseling skills.  Training runs for approximately 3 months, one evening per week.  Upon completion volunteers provide a minimum of 4 hours per week on the help-line.  We also require a minimum 6 month commitment.

Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationally recognized mentor program which pairs adult volunteers with kids from our community to develop fun and meaningful friendships. Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers are matched with youth who enjoy similar interests and the two meet weekly to enjoy simple and fun activities such as shooting hoops, washing the car, or baking cookies together. The program is free of charge and provides training, group activities and ongoing support.

25th Annual Children's Festival
This one day annual event can't be beat! Volunteers assist children in a variety of sports and art activities. Group/club participation is encouraged.
